NILO GARCÍA

Nilo García Manchado brings the fundamental strategic and technological perspective for the success of Reticare. With an extensive career in the Information Technology (IT) sector, he understood from within the rapid evolution of digital devices. His deep knowledge of the electronic industry allowed him to identify before anyone else that the increasing intensity and clarity of new screens would have a biological cost that manufacturers were ignoring.

As CEO and founder, he has been responsible for transforming a university scientific patent into a market-accessible reality. His leadership has led Reticare to have an international presence, focusing his management not only on product sales but also on a constant effort of social awareness. His ultimate goal is to establish new safety standards in the technology industry, ensuring that digital progress does not compromise the visual health of future generations.

Scientific Director and Inventor

CELIA SÁNCHEZ-RAMOS

Dr. Celia Sánchez-Ramos is a key figure in contemporary visual science. With a degree in Pharmacy and a diploma in Optics and Optometry, she holds a double doctorate in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and in Vision Sciences. This unique training has allowed her to approach eye health from a comprehensive perspective, combining the biology of the eye with the physics of light to understand the new risks of the digital age.

As the principal investigator, she has led pioneering studies for more than two decades that demonstrated the phototoxicity of LED light on the human retina. Dr. Sánchez-Ramos was the leader of the scientific team that identified how overexposure to high-energy light causes irreversible cell death, laying the theoretical and experimental foundations that today validate the need for protection in screens.

Her vocation transcends the laboratory: her goal has always been to prevent an epidemic of avoidable blindness. Recognized for her ability to translate scientific knowledge to society, she co-founded Reticare to turn her academic findings into a real solution. Thanks to her scientific leadership, Reticare is not just a simple accessory, but the practical application of years of university research for the benefit of people's visual health.
